Eyelid Lift

Blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) is the procedure involving the removal of excess fat and skin from the lower and upper eyelids. Fatty pads of the lower eyelids and drooping upper eyelids can add years to your face. The improvement in appearance from Blepharoplasty can be dramatic.

Incisions are made in the natural skin folds of the upper eyelids and excess fat, muscle, and skin are removed. Excess fat or bags can be removed from inside the lower eyelid, avoiding any visible scars. After the procedure, most patients are back to their normal routines within a few days, although complete recovery may take a few weeks. Swelling and bruising are minimal. These symptoms can be alleviated with cold compresses and appropriate medication. There should be very little discomfort involved in the recovery; however, the eyes may feel slightly irritated for a few days.
