“Time flies like an arrow.  Fruit flies like a banana.”

Consulting with a rhinoplasty patient today, the common question, “How long will the surgery take?’ was asked.  My answer is, “It may take anywhere from one and a half  to three hours.  I don’t know how long it will take.  Rhinoplasty is an art, a sculpting art on a facial feature that is located on the middle of the face for the rest of the person’s life.”   I am not concerned with time when in the “zone” of creating the best possible aesthetic and functional nose for my patient.  The same goes for facial rejuvenation treatments in our office.

We value the privilege of our patients confidence trusting us to help them achieve their aesthetic goals in the best, most natural, un-operated upon (even if surgery was necessary to obtain the best outcome), safe, and effective manner beginning by using the least invasive treatment possible and progressing to more aggressive options as needed.

We also value our patient’s time.  We know that you have busy schedules and have taken valuable  time away from family, business, and leisure by coming to our office.  In the perfect world, there would be no wait, no pain, , no adverse events, and 100% happy patients who could have the option to retire comfortably after our one free treatment.  Sometimes we may be running a little behind due to the additional time needed to “get it just right”on a particular patient.  We are sculpting on the most precious medium, a human face.  Please know when you are being treated, we are totally focused on you.  Despite our best efforts to generously estimate treatment times, occaisionally you may hear, “I am so sorry for keeping you waiting.”

After all, imagine if Michelangelo’s “nurse” told him, “there are three patient’s waiting!” when he was busy putting the finishing sculpting touches on his David.  We might have been left with a pot bellied David instead!
Be well.
