Points from the video:
00:02 – He discusses the difference in ultherapy and Fraxel Repair procedures
00:57 – He tells about how patients can have the Fraxel repair treatment and its results
The difference between having Fraxel repair, which is ablative CO2 laser and the ultherapy which is an ultrasound skin tightening and lifting procedure, is really should be thought of in terms of the depth of the treatment. The ultherapy treats the deeper level of tissues, about four and a half millimeters deep, which is the muscle lining of the facial muscles and the neck muscles, up to about one and a half millimeters deep for fine lines. The Fraxel Repair laser which is ablative fractionate CO2 laser, treats from about the surface layer down to a millimeter and a half deep. So patients can have the ulthera to lift and tighten; their face, brows and neck; and then have the Fraxel repair treatment to kind of polish the surface of the skin and improve the texture, the tone and the color of the skin, and actually get some tightening of that creepy skin at the surface.
