One of the “Holy Grails” of aesthetic practices is the ability to tighten skin non-invasively. Many of our patients request tightening of loose skin of their abdomen, arms, legs, as well as the neck and face. We are very pleased with the success of Ultherapy being able to lift and tighten the skin of the face and neck. We are currently investigating the technologies that claim to tighten skin in the other areas of the body.

Radiofrequency technologies have been used over the past 15 years to attempt to tighten skin. The first radiofrquency technology on the market to tighten skin was Thermage, shortly followed by Titan. There were some problems, the largest being that patient satisfaction ranged from 30% to 40%. The current patient satisfaction of Thermage on RealSelf.com is 38%, Titan 53%, Exilis 70%, and Venus Freeze 87%. Venus Freeze currently has the highest “worth it” rating on RealSelf.com.

We are currently treating patients with Venus Freeze at our office to determine for ourselves it’s clinical effectiveness. In personal communication with respected colleagues around the country, we have heard that their patients are happy with the treatment. We have had positive feedback from all three of our patients who have been treated thus far. If you wish to have Venus Freeze treatments at marked discounted rates during our investigations on the technology, please call our office to schedule your skin tightening treatments. Be well.
