As experienced and stated by Dr. Persky, MD, Persky Sunder Facial Plastic Surgery:

Points from the video:

00:10 – He discusses the experience of coolsculpting at Persky Sunder Facial Plastic Surgery, Encino

00:25 – He shares how the patient feels like while the treatment is ongoing

01:00- He discusses the aftereffects that the patient might feel after the treatment is over

01:34 – He shares the time when they see the patient back to assess the further procedure

The patient’s experience with the CoolSculpting procedure is actually quite nice. At the day of the treatment, they are asked to bring either some reading material or computer to work on, or Ipad, whatever they wanna entertain themselves with during the hour they are being treated. The actual feeling of the application of the coolsculpting section piece, and sometimes feels like a little bit of pinch for about 2 or 3 minutes, after about 5 to 10 minutes, the tissue is frozen and actually quite numb, and for the remaining time, the patient feels nothing.

After an hour, the applicators remove, the area is massaged, there is a slight feeling of pins and needles as the cooling, as the frozen area kind of falls out. And then once the patient leaves the office, they are able to return to normal activities. There’s really only a feeling of some numbness in certain areas that disappears over 2-3 weeks. And then the patients can start to see and feel some decrease in the fat layer, usually at about 1-2 months after the treatment. The area continues to improve for about 4 months after the treatment. So we can usually see patients back anywhere between 2-4 months after a coolsculpting treatment, and then assess whether they are to have the second procedure.
