As you age and your skin changes, you might explore your options for non-surgical treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic, dermal fillers, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), or microneedling

Maybe you’ve noticed an increase in fine lines around your eyes, or old acne scars are becoming more apparent. After reading a million beauty articles and trying all the “best of” recommendations for skin care and anti-aging treatments, you’ve spent hundreds of dollars and still have the same lines and scars you started with.

Dr. Persky understands the frustration of trying to fight the signs of aging, which is why he offers a wide variety of injectable treatments to address a myriad of skin concerns. One of the most innovative tools he uses in his practice is Medi-Inject

Medi-Inject tool.

Medi-Inject is a device that works similarly to microneedling but with the added benefit of utilizing a “cocktail” of injectables that are precisely injected superficially within the skin in minuscule aliquots to boost your results. The Medi-Inject treatment is a skin conditioning treatment that improves difficult-to-treat troubling crepe lines and wrinkles around the mouth, chin, and cheeks. The treatment hydrates and refreshes the skin.

What Is Medi-Inject?

Medi-Inject uses the idea behind microneedling and takes it to the next level.

Microneedling works by using a device equipped with multiple thin needles that create tiny wounds on the surface of your skin. These punctures trigger your body to repair the micro skin injuries by producing new collagen, elastin fibers, and capillaries. The boost in collagen and the improved post-treatment circulation result in refreshed skin that is firmer and more supple, as well as a noticeable reduction in scars and wrinkles

Like microneedling, Medi-Inject uses a device with several superfine needles. However, the needles on the Medi-Inject don’t just penetrate your skin: they also simultaneously inject a personalized combination of treatment solutions. The needle lengths on the Medi-Inject are adjustable so that your injectables of choice reach precise depths in your skin that will offer maximum results. The amount injected is also adjusted. Fractions of a milliliter of your personalized “cocktail” are precisely injected with the Medi-Inject automated injector.

Dr. Persky works with you to choose the right combination of treatments. The personalized “cocktail” mix may include BOTOX® Cosmetic, hyaluronic acid fillers, skin lighteners, vitamins, PRP, and stem cells, depending on the individual patient.

What Is Involved in Medi-Inject Treatment?

After your consultation with Dr. Persky, a personalized treatment plan is formulated.

On the day of your treatment, the skin is cleansed, photos are taken, and a skin-numbing cream is applied for 45 to 60 minutes. If PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is used, one tube of your blood is drawn and processed.

One syringe (1cc) of hyaluronic acid filler, 30 units of BOTOX® Cosmetic, Vitamin C, and a skin lightener are usually added to the PRP.

This “cocktail” syringe is placed in the Medi-Inject automated injector. The Medi-Inject multiple needle (nine of the smallest, finest needles) tip is placed on the cocktail syringe. The nine needles are housed within a plastic square that, when placed on the skin, forms a seal.

The automated injector senses the seal and applies a small amount of vacuum pressure, pulling the skin up into the nine needles simultaneously. At this time, a tiny amount of the solution is injected precisely at the level desired. This is repealed over the entire treatment area. The whole treatment takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

After the treatment, the face is cleansed, and hyaluronic acid gel is topically applied. Tiny bruises usually resolve within one to two days and can be covered with concealer or tinted sunblock 24 hours; normal activities and exercise may resume after 24 hours. The skin continues to improve over three months. Patients may repeat the treatment in three to six months and usually have one yearly treatment for maintenance and continued excellent skin health.

How Is Medi-Inject Different From Microneedling or Traditional Injectable Treatments?

Medi-Inject offers all of the benefits of injectable treatments but with the added benefit of microneedling. Some of the key differentiators between Medi-Inject and individual injectable treatments include:

  • 100% customizable for optimal results
  • Adjustable needle tip length and automated injections system for precise skin depth and microscopic volume delivery of the chosen product, which is not possible with manual hand-held injection syringes
  • Boosts growth factors for additional skin rejuvenation
  • More targeted and equal distribution of the selected product
  • Increases the efficiency of the preferred treatments
  • Hydrates and conditions the skin naturally

For reducing or eliminating signs of aging and rejuvenating your healthy skin cells in the process, Medi-Inject is the answer.

Benefits of Medi-Inject

Some of the benefits you can expect after using Medi-Inject include the following:

  • Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Smoother, tighter skin
  • Less visible pores
  • Less redness
  • Skin looks brighter and more youthful
  • Hydration of skin
  • Noticeable results on face, neck, décolletage, and hands

When administered by an experienced professional, Medi-Inject is both safe and beneficial. It offers comprehensive skin rejuvenation that, unlike harsher procedures, doesn’t require extensive downtime. It is safe for all skin colors, as there is minimal risk of scarring or pigmentation issues.
