3 Minute Read:

A strict exercise routine has always been recognized as the best way to lose weight, build muscle, and tone the body. And for many people, that’s true. However, not everyone has the time or energy to run to the gym as often as needed to have the perfect form. Even if they do, they may struggle with areas that resist even the most promising diet and exercise regimens.

For these patients, Emsculpt® can help. Emsculpt® is a non-invasive procedure that stimulates the nerves to muscles for increased muscle mass.

Below, we will discuss the benefits of this 30-minute treatment, how it can build and tone for noticeable muscle definition, and which treatments you can pair with it for a full-body transformation.

What Is Emsculpt®?

It seems unbelievable that something other than exercise can build muscle, but this non-invasive treatment does just that.

With four 30-minute sessions spaced over two weeks, Emsculpt® can increase muscle mass and decrease unwanted fat in the targeted areas. Using high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy, Emsculpt® stimulates supramaximal muscle contractions to build muscle without downtime or pain.

Like a traditional workout, Emsculpt® induces muscle contractions that tone and strengthen the muscle. Unlike voluntary muscle contraction, which at best stimulates approximately 70% of the muscle, Emsculpt stimulates and contracts 100% of the muscle.  You can get results that you would never be able to in one gym session — around the equivalent of 20,000 crunches or squats.

As the muscles grow and strengthen, more energy is needed to fuel them, which the body naturally takes from surrounding fat (the same process goes for traditional exercise). This is how Emsculpt® reduces fat while simultaneously strengthening muscle.

There is no downtime, no needles, and no sedation with Emsculpt®. You will attend your 30-minute session, where your technician will secure the paddle to the target area, and you will feel the machine’s vibration.

Afterward, you will feel like you had an intense workout — and your muscles certainly will!

Target areas that Emsculpt® can tone and develop:

  • Abdomen
  • Buttocks
  • Arms
  • Legs

Emsculpt® can even help strengthen and reduce the gap between abdominal muscles separated by pregnancy, which is nearly impossible to achieve with traditional exercise.

Treatments to Combine With Emsculpt®

Emsculpt® is specifically designed to target muscle definition and minimize certain areas of fat. To complete the transformation, there are a few other procedures to consider.

CoolSculpting®

While Emsculpt® tones and builds muscle mass, CoolSculpting® permanently eliminates fat cells in a non-invasive and highly effective treatment.

If you are close to your ideal weight but still have stubborn pockets of fat, you may benefit from CoolSculpting®. In your fat reduction session, patients will be fitted with an applicator pad over the target area where controlled cooling works to safely freeze fat cells before they are naturally eliminated by the body.

CoolSculpting® is non-invasive, safe, and virtually pain-free. Patients can see initial results after about three weeks and full results after about three months.

Venus Freeze™/Venus Legacy™

If you suffer from loose and sagging skin, cellulite, and wrinkles, Venus Freeze™/Venus Legacy™ is a great option.

At a certain point, there isn’t much you can do about loose, sagging skin. It happens with age, weight fluctuations, or after pregnancy and can be very frustrating. Venus Freeze™/Venus Legacy™ tightens skin and reduces fat using multipolar radiofrequency plus electromagnetic pulses in an effective and non-invasive procedure.

Each treatment session is about 15 to 40 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. You can return to work and regular activities following treatment without pain or downtime. Patients can see results in three to six sessions.
